How do I move a tenant out?

Move Out from a tenant or property opens Review tenant departure. Select the affected agreement from the person's exact recorded memberships. Signed agreements that have not begun open their separate pre-commencement context. Only an explicit server permission offers profile-only departure, which does not release lease obligations or establish vacancy. Open the lease's Ending and possession review. Draft a negotiated ending for fresh signatures, or review an existing court order, protected exit, executed outside agreement, statutory notice or administrative record with its exact affected people and dates.

For existing authority, choose complete source PDFs for the premises and open the exact review copies. Confirm the reviewer, specific applicable authority, surviving obligations, legal date and any permitted access or final billing dates. A notice or administrative record retains evidence only; upload alone does not establish execution or lawful service.

Retain the reviewed authority first. Its history card separately records actual possession and returned keys, and applies a permitted ending plan. Future dates wait; missing possession, legal or payment-provider evidence can pause a step. No deposit forfeiture, refund or vacancy is inferred from recording the authority.

For an old ended lease needing signatures, Review a new documentary confirmation creates a separate draft linked to the original ending. It keeps the original date and evidence, requires fresh signatures and does not repeat billing or access changes.

Complete inspection and reviewed deposit accounting through the Move-Out workflow or Deposit Return. Both review actual paid receipts or opened source evidence, itemized deductions, interest and jurisdiction follow-up; neither assumes the lease deposit was received or splits ownership equally. Retain the statement, use the original payment in Payments for supported online refunds, and record actual offline-return or delivery evidence separately. Named tenants can find retained statement versions, including past leases, in their lease/deposit history; private supporting records are not shared. Closing the move-out still requires the completed ending and actual possession evidence. Recording, downloading or emailing a statement does not prove payment or lawful furnishing.
