How do tenants pay rent?
Tenants pay from their portal by card or by bank transfer (ACH). Each available payment method shows its processing fee before the tenant pays. Review that quote rather than assuming a fixed fee.
You decide who covers the processing fee - the tenant (the default) or you. This can be set per lease.
Auto-pay receipts show a processing fee when the invoice confirms the tenant paid it. Later fee-setting changes do not relabel that payment. If fee details are missing, a missing fee line does not confirm that the landlord paid it; older receipts are not automatically corrected.
