Can the app read my documents for me?
Upload a closing document, mortgage statement, lease, property tax bill, or insurance document as a PDF or photo. The app extracts the fields appropriate to the document type. Review extracted figures and dates before applying them.
Mortgage statements, closing documents and escrow analysis statements use a start month and optional end month for recurring costs. Escrow analysis requires the new total lender payment and keeps the recorded principal and interest. Property Tax Bill and Insurance uploads have their own review: keep legal service dates separate from the months you choose for applying costs, and select who pays.
You can save an insurance original and its available coverage information without applying costs. A missing premium or an unreadable page does not mean zero cost or no coverage. The review identifies missing or incomplete information.
Other tax forms, including Form 1098, keep their reporting dates and paid amounts as source information. Escrow disbursements keep their payment dates separate from the lender change. A reporting year or disbursement date alone does not create a bill period. A tax or insurance bill draft requires explicit service dates; otherwise use Property Tax Bill or Insurance review to confirm those dates.
Leases use their lease dates. Repair bills and receipts use their expense or invoice dates. An insurance or property tax invoice is kept out of one-time expenses to avoid counting the same cost twice. Uploaded originals remain available from Documents.
